In eastern Georgia, in the Kakheti region, it has always been a tradition to ferment white wines on the mash. The aromas and tannins become stronger and more intense as a result. Accordingly, the wine shimmers beautifully amber in the glass and full-bodied on the palate. The new, hip orange wine movement is thus only a renaissance of the normality of amber wines that has always been lived in Kakheti.
